The CA Valley is a location in California that will soon be on a major upswing economically. Why you might ask? and how would you calculate this will happen? Logical questions but ones that can very easily and logically be answered.
The CA Valley has won the title of the breadbasket if you will of the great State of California and deservedly so. Some estimates put as much as 60% of the entire valley as being serviceable for planting crops or raising livestock such as Cattle or Sheep. This finite area of the United States represents a major portion of the food that is grown in our country.
So, why would a farming belt be ready for an upswing you would now logically ask? Well, that actually a very easy and predictable answer to give out. There are several reasons and we will cover but a few in turn. One of the biggest reasons is affordability. With so many people being able to telecommute to work or owning their owns small to medium businesses these days many people are just opting to work at home. This handles how they would make their money while living what some would consider rather remotely. The affordability come in because the area was one of the last remaining bargains before the recession and now with the level that the houses have crashed to in the area wow, these represent some of the best values in the entire state.
Next, people are growing exhausted of city life and are opting for the much more relaxed and much slower pace that the CA Valley and it’s rural lifestyle offer. Think about it. Today our lives are so fast paced we rarely if ever take any real time for ourselves. It seems that no matter how much you work it’s always work more, work more and when you’re finished with that here work some more while you’re at it. I’m sure you can relate or agree unless you don’t live in the USA.
So, folks are opting to leave the pressures and stress of the city behind and adopt a much simpler and usually far less stressful country lifestyle. One more little pocket that people seem to be just flooding to is CA Antioch. This town surprised me in a big way when I read about the numbers of people that are swarming to this all but forgotten town. Then I did a few searches and it was then of course super simple to see why this trend was emerging. Once again it was cost and value. There are some ridiculously low prices for houses and real estate in Antioch. When I did a comparison to some of the more high priced areas of the state I found actual costs that in some cases were as little as 15% of the cost of a similar home in markets like San Francisco or the high end areas of Los Angeles. So it’s really not hard to see the migration or even why it’s happening, it’s really all about quality of life.
